Mel has had a lifelong love of Janis Joplin so in 2009 she enlisted gifted musicians who also had a love of Janis and so began Full Tilt Janis.

Janis is definitely in the building when you hear Full Tilt Janis play.

Rip it Up Magazine said of Mel….Raw and powerful, recreating the true essence of Janis herself…she can really hit those notes…Big band, big voice…Adelaide talent not to be missed….

Full Tilt Janis is a 6 piece band with a big sound. They have been performing around Adelaide and some of their clients include, The Arkaba and The Italian Club. They are also a regular headline band for the last 3 years at a Woodstock themed Music Festival where they have built up a band of loyal followers.

Full Tilt Janis have just recently performed in Melbourne at the John Curtin Band Room and have been invited back to play at many venues including Phillip Island.

Performances also include The Pretoria Hotel in Mannum, The Brahma Lodge and Whitehorse Inn.

They can also be versatile in either using the in-house PA or can supply their own PA and lighting system.
