Push is a 4-piece cover band that is based in Port Pirie, SA. Push was created in late 2018 and made its debut in January of 2019 and is made of musicians who have had alot of experience in the music industry. Playing 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s and current hits, they also play in many different styles and genres.

The lead singer is from Adelaide and has been in the music business since he was in high school. This is similar to our lead guitarist who has been playing guitar since she was eight years old and has even performed with country music megastar Keith Urban and Australian rockstar Reece Mastin.

The drummer and bass player have been in the music industry for years. Our drummer played in a band called Crossroads which was one of the biggest band in Port Pirie back in the day that even played the Adelaide circuit. The drummer and bass player have played venues all over South Australia throughout their musical careers.

In a short period of time Push have had the opportunity to play many gigs around South Australia including gigs on the Adelaide circuit….

Meet the Band –

  • Dil Simmons – Male Vocalist / Rhythm Guitarist
    Dil Simmons has played in a variety of bands and on all manner of
    instruments. Before moving to Pirie, he cut his teeth playing drums
    for Thunder Wagon, lending his vocals for a whole bunch of
    albums and producing electronic music under the moniker:
    “lonomy”. Nowadays, you’re as likely to see him teaching guitar or
    singing as you are to see him making noise up on stage.

 

  • Ellen Tefanis – Lead Guitarist / Female Vocalist
    Meet our lead guitarist and female vocalist Ellen Tefanis. Ellen is a
    22-year-old guitarist who has been playing guitar since she was 8
    years old. Ellen has played in various Port Pirie and Adelaide cover
    bands. Ellen throughout her music career has had many
    experiences including the time in 2014 when Reece Mastin invited
    her to perform with him and then in 2016 when country music
    megastar Keith
    Urban invited the her to perform with him on the last show of his
    Ripcord World Tour in Brisbane, Australia. Ellen has had over 5
    million views. While Ellen was in the USA she was invited to be
    featured on Norman’s Rare Guitars social media.

 

  • George Tefanis – Drummer
    Meet our drummer George Tefanis. George is an experienced
    drummer who has played in various cover bands around Port
    Pirie. Most famously known as the drummer for Crossroads
    the well-known Port Pirie based band. He has played in many
    bands including as well as Crossroads which includes Gravel
    Road, In The Black and many more.

 

  • Andre Max- Bass Guitarist
    Andre has been involved with music and bands for over 39 years. He
    plays multiple instruments but his main instrument is Bass Guitar. Some
    of the bands he has been involved with are Music Express, No Warning,
    Alibi, C4, In The Black, The Damage, Two Right and Tj & The Twinspinners. He has also worked for many bands just as a fill in and
    performed shows all over Australia.
